World Congress on issues of fertility and sterility, Durban, South Africa, 2007

Our Medical director V.Veselovskyy took part in the 19th World Congress.

The special attention at the congress was paid to perspectives in the treatment of sterility, such as: trans-implantation genetic diagnostics; perfection of protocols for the controlled stimulation of ovaries, particularly in cases of a «weak» reaction to stimulation; progressive technologies for the treatment of male sterility; application of instrumental methods for diagnosis, treatment and preparation for conducting auxiliary reproductive procedures (hysteroscopy, laparoscopy).

In addition, many lectures were devoted to the theme of safety in the treatment of sterility –above all, reducing the amount of multiple pregnancies due to the improvement in quality of embryological laboratory work and, accordingly, diminishing the number of embryos carried. Especially interesting was the shared approach to solving problems of sterility of our clinic and the International Federation of Fertility Societies International, under whose aegis the congress was conducted.
